Sharpening system KMFS Vantaedge Integral is the latest evolution of sharpening systems. Patented solution of the system is entirely developed and manufactured in Czech Republic.

This system is the first one in the world that completely eliminates the effect of larger edge close to the tip of knife while allowing precise replication during each sharpening without any need to clamp the knife in flawlessly.

The biggest change compared to other sharpening systems is introduction of reverse kinematic, where the system automatically adjusts its components in relation to chosen angle regardless of how the knife is clamped.

Sharpening system comes with head for setting angles of sharpening of 15°, 17,5°, 20°, 22,5° that are always perfectly replicated along the entire edge of the knife with each sharpening. A specialized head is available that allows different angles to be chosen. Sold separately.

Thanks to integral clamp (body) made from solid block of Ergal 7075 T651, perfect orientation of knife is achieved. Knife is held in securely and mounting is easy. Doubled clamping mechanism with bronze bearing allows perfect adaptation of clamp to knife blade while eliminating unwanted forces. Edge does not need to be held in both fingers of the clamp, single finger offers enough force for smaller knives.

Maximum thickness of the knife is 7,5 - 8 mm and maximum blade length for a single pass sharpening is 20 - 25 cm. Longer knives need to be sharpened in segments during one session.

Integral clamp of KMFS Vantaedge ins symmetrical and by simply flipping it upside down you can sharpen other side of the knife without having to re-clamp.

Set is completed with ball bearings for smooth operation without any forces. Set contains 4 completely covered bearings for rotation around two angle rods and 3 pieces of linear quad bearing.

Set is equipped with stone holder able to accommodate any and all KMFS Rival stones and many other manufacturers stones. There is no need to re-adjust anything when using a thicker abrasive, kinematics will always produce required angle. Stone clamping mechanism held with stainless steel spring has integrated brass rods protecting the hand from slipping onto the edge during sharpening. The control surfaces simultaneously allow for precise guidance of stone on edge.
