More info
The Microplane Professional 2.0 Fine is a fine, wide grater for ingredients where you want a light texture, intense aroma and even results. Compared to a narrow zester, it offers a larger working surface. It processes hard cheese, chocolate, nuts, cinnamon or nutmeg into fine particles or a powder consistency; wetter ingredients, such as ginger, garlic or chili, create a fine mass that is easy to mix into sauces or dressings. On lemons, limes and oranges, the blade removes the aromatic colored layer of the peel without interfering with the bitter white part when guided correctly.
The photo-etched teeth cut the ingredient precisely and do not crush it, helping to preserve its aroma and taste. The blade is made in the USA, while the frame and square ergonomic handle are made of durable all-stainless steel with an elegant matte chrome finish. The non-slip rubber end provides security when working in a vertical position and the hole in the handle allows the grater to be hung. After use, it is advisable to rinse the blade immediately with running water, remove any residues with a kitchen brush and dry the grater. The product can be put in the dishwasher, but to maintain sharpness for as long as possible, hand washing is preferable. The protective cover in the package protects the delicate teeth and hands during storage.

About the manufacturer:
The American brand Microplane has a long tradition in the field of carpentry with its quality rasps. The big breakthrough came in 1994. The old grater of a Canadian housewife reached for the rasp from her husband's workshop while she was preparing an orange cake. The orange peel turned into fine and perfect strips in an instant. And so the foundations were laid for the future success of the Microplane brand in the kitchen. It didn't take long to come true – within five years, The New York Times was writing about the graters' growing popularity among top chefs. Within three years, a line of Microplane graters was created, designed for professional kitchens.
