The KMFS Vantaedge ROTOCLAMP replaces the standard Vantaedge Integral clamping system with a rotary solution that facilitates the transition between both sides of the blade and at the same time offers a firmer grip on the blade. The knife can be rotated exactly 180° after releasing the lock, without having to dismantle any other part of the grinding system. To check the bevel, the knife can be removed together with the entire clamp, so that the set clamping is maintained.

The position of both clamps can be adjusted separately according to the specific blade and the set can be supplemented with another clamp. Each clamp is milled from a single block of solid duralumin alloy EN AW 7075 T651. Spherical bronze bushings help to reduce unwanted forces when tightening the clamping screws and allow the clamps to better adapt to the blade. The knife does not always have to be clamped by both clamps - using only one of them will improve the clamping stability.

The stainless steel shaft is mounted in a pair of bronze bushings, in which it rotates and moves smoothly. The working positions are secured by a spring lock; its force can be adjusted by a lock nut using the included wrench. In addition, the linear bearing of the angle head located below extends the system's capabilities towards smaller, sharper grinding angles.
