OPEN or CLOSED COMB head?
Closed comb - this version of comb has only ridges and thanks to that the razor blade protrudes minimally. It’s the most common type of razor head. We recommend this type of head for beginners and everyday shaving.
Open comb - Razor blade is more exposed in between individual teeth of comb allowing more lather and beard/hair to contact the blade. This leads to faster shaving and easier cleanup. This version is suitable for longer and thicker beard and is usually recommended for advanced users
If you are unsure which type is more suitable, rest assured that the difference is not that large. You don’t have to worry that you won’t be able to get quality shave with one or another.
